A 2005 graduate of the Naval Reserve Training Officer Corps program from The Citadel, CDR Hamilton earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.  He is originally from Green Pond, SC.
 
A career surface warfare officer, CDR Hamilton’s shipboard assignments include: USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58) as Operations Information Division Officer, Antisubmarine Warfare Officer, and Navigator, USS RUSSELL (DDG 59) as Operations Officer, and USS PATRIOT (MCM 7) as Executive and Commanding Officer.  Ashore, he earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Financial Management and Joint Professional Military Education Phase I from the Naval Postgraduate School. His following tour was as Flag Aide to the Commander, Navy Region Midwest.  Additionally, he served as an analyst for the Programming Division (N80) on the Chief of Naval Operations Staff (OPNAV).  Most recently, he served as Deputy Executive Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics (OPNAV N4).
 
CDR Hamilton's decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and other campaign awards.
