 Master Chief Jason Dupre is a native of Tioga, Louisiana. He entered the Navy’s Delayed Entry Program (DEP) 1996 and attended Recruit Training at Great Lakes in 1997.  After graduating boot camp, he completed numerous electronics schools and reported to the USS JOHN F. KENNEDY (CV 67) at Naval Station Mayport, Florida, in January 1999.  During his tour, he earned both his Enlisted Surface and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Devices, qualified Combat Systems Officer of the Watch, and completed a Mediterranean deployment.  In 2004, ET2 Dupre reported to the Center for Surface Combat Systems, Great Lakes as an ‘A’ school Instructor where he earned the Master Training Specialist designation and was advanced to First Class Petty and then Chief Petty Officer.
 
Following Great Lakes, he reported to Pre-Commissioning Unit GREEN BAY (LPD 20) in 2007. While there, he served as the Combat Guns Division Leading Chief Petty Officer, Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Officer, Drug & Alcohol Program Advisor and qualified as Officer of the Deck underway. His next assignment was Commander, Littoral Ship Squadron One, where he was as selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer.  In 2014, he reported to Naval Computer & Telecommunications Station, Bahrain, as the N4/N6 Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and earned the Enlisted Information Warfare Device.
 
Returning to sea in 2015, Senior Chief Dupre reported to USS ESSEX (LHD 2), stationed in San Diego, as the C5I Department Leading Chief Petty Officer and Combat Systems Maintenance Manager. During this tour, he served as the Senior Enlisted Watch Coordinator and completed a successful WESTPAC deployment.  In May of 2017, he reported to Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (then SPAWAR Systems Center, Pacific) and was advanced to Master Chief Petty Officer that year. After serving as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for nearly three years, he was accepted into the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program in 2020 and reported to the USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43), stationed in Mayport, Florida, seeing the ship through decommissioning in mid-2021.
 
Master Chief Dupre is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 169 (Blue), and the CMC/COB Course, Class 209. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering from Thomas Edison State University and a Master of Science in Information Technology from University of Maryland, University College.  He is a Project Management Professional, Agile Certified Practitioner and an Adjunct Instructor for the Resilience Building Leader Program. 
 
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal and numerous service and campaign awards.
