Commander Andreu graduated from Colegio Santiago Apostol, Fajardo PR in
1983. He entered the United States Navy in October 1987.
In 2003, he commissioned under the Limited Duty Officer program and
reported onboard USS VICKSBURG (CG 69) to serve as the Electronics
Material Officer.
In 2009, he laterally converted to Surface Warfare Officer (1110) and served
as the Exchange Officer (PEP) in Cartagena, Colombia.
His first Department Head tour was as Combat Systems Officer onboard USS
SIMPSON (FFG 56). His second Department Head tour was as Combat
Systems Officer onboard USS GONZALEZ (DDG 66).
His Executive Officer tour was onboard USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58).
Ashore, he served as Executive Officer to the Deputy J3 and Command and
Control Officer, United States Central Command in Tampa.
He is a graduate of the Naval War College, Newport RI and has completed
JPME I and II.
His awards include a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service
Commendation medal, Navy & Marine Corps Commendation and
Achievement Medals, and numerous unit awards.
