Cmdr.  Jason Jeanpierre is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and a 2003 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics.

Jeanpierre’s sea duty assignments include: Missile Officer aboard USS Ticonderoga (CG 47) in Pascagoula, Mississippi, where he contributed to the ship winning the Commander, Destroyer Squadron (COMDESRON) 14 Gunslinger Award, and Electrical Officer and CIC Officer aboard USS Whidbey Island where he was able to participate in the 2006 Lebanon Non-combatant Evacuation Operations. His Department Head tours were as the Operations Officer aboard USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79) and USS Leyte Gulf (CG 55).

Ashore Jeanpierre has served as the Chief Staff Officer at COMDESRON 60 Detachment Rota, Spain, Deputy Executive Assistance for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and Strike Officer for Commander, U.S Third Fleet. 

Jeanpierre holds a Master’s degree from the Naval Postgraduate School in Operations Research and completed his Joint Professional Military Education (JPME) Phase I.

Jeanpierre’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2), the Battle “E” Excellence Award and various campaign and service medals and ribbons.
