 Ensign Stephen Weaver, a native of Texas, enlisted in the Navy, March 2009 and attended Fire-Controlman Apprenticeship School in Great Lakes, Illinois, with follow on SPY-1 “C” School in Dahlgren, Virginia, and earned his commission through the Limited Duty Officer in-service procurement program, September 2019. 

Weaver’s sea duty assignments include: SPY-1 Radar Technician, Work Center Supervisor, and Combat Systems Maintenance Manager Assistant aboard USS Dewey (DDG 105) radar technician, where he deployed twice to the 7th, 6th, and 5th fleets; and most recently as Systems Test Officer and Executive Officer aboard USS Anzio (CG 68).

Ashore, Weaver’s assignments include: SPY-1 Instructor and Course Supervisor at Aegis Training and Readiness Center, where he was advanced to Chief Petty Officer and assumed duties as SPY Element Leading Chief Petty Officer; he then served as ATRC Safety Officer and Legal Officer upon selection to the LDO program in March 2018.

His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (three awards), and various individual and unit awards.
