Command Master Chief Brett Menne, a native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, enlisted in the Navy, March 1992 as a nuclear-trained Machinist’s Mate.

Menne’s sea duty assignments include: USS Maryland (SSBN 738); USS Minneapolis – Saint Paul (SSN 708), where he rate-converted to Engineman upon transfer; USS Anzio (CG 68); USS Forrest Sherman (DDG 98); USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69); Command Master Chief (CMC) aboard USS Whidbey Island (LSD 41); CMC aboard USS Normandy (CG 60).

Ashore, Menne’s assignments include: Instructor Duty at Nuclear Power Training Unit Ballston Spa; CMC at Fleet Logistics Center, Puget Sound; and CMC/COB Course Facilitator at Naval Leadership and Ethics Center

He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 171) and Command Leadership School (Class 113), and his personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy Achievement Medal (three awards), and various unit and personal awards.
