 Master Chief Jamie Hamilton graduated from High School in Georgia, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in April 1993.  He enlisted as a Seaman Recruit and completed Recruit and Seaman Apprenticeship Training in Orlando, Florida. 

His sea duty assignments include USS WARRIOR (MCM 10); USS CHAMPION (MCM 4); USS HALYBURTON (FFG 40); USS GETTYSBURG (CG 64) where he served as Leading Chief Petty Officer of Deck Division and completed a six month deployment in support of Counter-Piracy Operations; Coastal Riverine Squadron DELTA Company Detachment, where he served as Senior Enlisted Leader; and USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) where he served as Command Master Chief, completed a seven month deployment to the FIFTH and SIXTH fleet AORs, which included two exercises in support of Maritime Security Operations, and was the driving force behind OAK garnering all five excellence awards for two consecutive years. He has also served ashore at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas; and Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida.  Most recently as the Command Master Chief for Commander, Naval Beach Group TWO in Little Creek, Virginia, he deployed onboard USS IWO JIMA in support of Hurricane Matthew to oversee deployed units, while coordinating and executing emergent ship-to-shore and pier side DSCA on-loads in response to Hurricanes Irma Maria. 
     
Master Chief Hamilton is a graduate of the Air Force Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (Class 11-A), the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 130), a graduate of the National Defense University Keystone Course and Command Senior Enlisted Leader Executive Leadership Symposium Course.
 
Master Chief Hamilton is currently assigned to USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7).  His personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (eight awards), Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
