Command Master Chief

Command Master Chief Weba Roberts was born in Jamaica and grew up in Massachusetts. She attended basic training in Great Lakes, Ill. in 1996 and upon completion attended Aviation Support Equipment Technician “A” School in Pensacola, Fla., and cryogenics “C” school in San Diego, Calif. She is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, CMC/COB course and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Her assignments at sea include: aviation support equipment technician aboard USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), ground support equipment leading chief petty officer (LCPO) aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), aircraft intermediate maintenance department (AIMD) LCPO aboard USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74), and command master chief of USS Charleston (LCS-18). She previously served as command master chief on USS Porter (DDG 78) in Rota, Spain. During these operational tours Master Chief Roberts completed deployments to the Mediterranean Sea, Arabian Gulf, South America, Western Pacific, Black Sea, and Barents Sea.
Her shore assignments include: NAS Barber’s Point, Hawaii; COMFAIRWESTPAC Detachment Atsugi, Japan; and Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 24, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
