A native of Las Vegas, Nevada, LCDR Guiremand earned his commission through Oregon State University’s NROTC program after graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in 2010.
His first Division Officer tour was aboard USS Dewey (DDG 105) as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer where he made her maiden deployment to U.S Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Fleets.  Following his time on USS Dewey, he served as the Navigator aboard USS Paul Hamilton (DDG 60) where he made part of a U.S. Fifth Fleet BMD deployment.  For his Department Head tour, he served as Operations Officer on USS Chafee (DDG 90), and he reported as Executive Officer in USS Dextrous (MCM 13) in October of 2020.
Ashore, he earned a Master’s Degree in Security Studies (Far East) from Naval Post Graduate School and completed JPME Phase I (with distinction).  Additionally, he served as an instructor for the Surface Navigator’s Course at SWOS in Newport, RI.
