Command Master Chief Jacelyne J. Augustin is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and enlisted in the United States Navy through the Delayed Entry Program in January 2000.
Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, she reported to Mess Management Specialist “A” School in San Antonio, Texas.
She graduated top of her class and selected orders to Patrol Squadron Sixteen (VP-16) at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. While stationed at VP-16 she deployed to Keflavik, Iceland; Sigonella, Italy and numerous other detachments. Her follow-on sea duty assignments included: USS Mason (DDG 87), USS Mustin (DDG 89) and USS Ashland (LSD 48). Shore duty assignments included: Commander Fleet Activities Sasebo, Japan and Naval Support Activities Naples, Italy.
She was selected for the Command Program in 2020 and reported to Commander Fleet Activities Chinhae as the Command Senior Chief for the only U.S. Navy Installation in Korea.
Command Master Chief Augustin holds an Associate of Applied Science in Restaurant and Culinary Management from Central Texas College. She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 218-Blue) and CMC/COB (Class 201). Her personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), and various Campaign and unit awards. She is currently serving as the Senior Enlisted Leader for USS The Sullivans (DDG 68) in Mayport, Florida
