History

USS Sioux City (LCS 11) – Sioux City’s ceremonial “laying of the keel” was on 19 February 2014 in Marinette, Wisconsin. She was commissioned at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland on 17 November 2018. It is the first US Navy vessel to bear the name of Sioux City, Iowa. Sioux City is homeported at Naval Station Mayport, FL. Sioux City returned from 4th Fleet to complete her first successful deployment on 04 December 2020.
