Cmdr. Adam Cline is a native of Paulsboro, NJ. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Master of Arts in Management from American Military University. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida. He enlisted in the Navy in 2000 and was among the top ten percent of Sailors selected to the Seaman to Admiral 21 program in 2005. He was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps at the George Washington University in December 2008.
Cmdr. Adam’s operational assignments include Chief Staff Officer in Destroyer Squadron 28, Operations Officer in USS The Sullivans (DDG 68), Training Officer in USS Gettysburg (CG 64), and Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer in USS Stephen W. Groves (FFG 29). He also served in USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) as an Electronic Warfare
Operator.
Ashore, Cmdr. Adam served as an action officer in the Joint Staff, Force Structure, Resources, and Assessments Directorate (J8), as a budget analyst in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy, Financial Management and Budget, Investment and Development Directorate (FMB-2), and as Surface Operations Officer in the Maritime Patrol and Reconnaissance Weapons School.
Cmdr. Adam is authorized to wear the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy Achievement Medal (3 awards) and various unit awards.
