Master Chief Williams is a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Navy August 10th, 1999. After attending Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, he attended Interior Communications Electrician “A” school, Great Lakes, Illinois before transferring to his first duty station Pre-Commissioning Unit IWO JIMA LHD-7 at Pascagoula, Mississippi.
He successfully completed three operational tours onboard USS PONCE (LPD 15), USS ENTERPRISE (CVN-65), and Pre-Commissioning Unit THOMAS HUDNER (DDG 116). In 2003 he deployed onboard USS IWO JIMA maiden deployment as a part of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and joint liberation for Liberia. He conducted two 5
th/6
th Fleet deployments aboard USS PONCE in 2009 and 2010. He was promoted to Chief Petty Officer in September 2010. In March 2012, he deployed aboard USS ENTERPRISE for her final voyage in support of the Global War on Terrorism, NATO Forces, and Operation Enduring Freedom. In December 2020, he deployed aboard USS THOMAS HUDNER maiden deployment is support of 5
th and 6
th Fleet operations.
Master Chief Williams’ other duty stations include Navy Marine Corps Intelligence Training Center as “C” school and NMT instructor, Navy Personnel Command lead IC rating detailer, and Commander Naval Surface Forces Atlantic as Force 3M Coordinator where he was promoted to the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He was selected into the Command Master Chief program in March 2024. In January 2025, he reported aboard USS ARLINGTON LPD-24 where he currently serves.
Master Chief Williams is a graduate of U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy Class 202, Blue Group. His personal decorations include Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy Achievement Medal (five awards), Good Conduct Medal (eight awards), Sea Service Ribbon (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
