Commander Jamie Jordan, a native of Henderson, Kentucky, graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology and was commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 2008. He earned a Master of Arts degree in National Security Affairs from Naval Postgraduate School in 2015.
At sea, CDR Jordan’s assignments include Communications Officer and Assistant Operations Officer aboard USS DECATUR (DDG 73) from 2008 through 2011, and Weapons Control Officer and Combat Systems Officer aboard USS CARNEY from 2017 through 2020.
Ashore, CDR Jordan served as a staff planner, Maritime Operations Center Executive Officer, and flag aide to the N3 with Naval Forces Europe and Africa and Commander, Sixth Fleet in Naples, Italy from 2011 to 2013; as a Maritime Warfare Instructor for Surface Warfare Officer’s School International Students Division in Newport, Rhode Island from 2015 to 2016; as the Littoral Combat Ship Mission Package and Unmanned Systems Requirements Officer at OPNAV N952 from 2020 through 2021; and as Surface CDR/LCDR Detailer and Commander Command Detailer for Surface Warfare Assignments Branch (PERS-41), Navy Personnel Command in Millington, TN from 2021 to 2024.
Commander Jordan’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, as well as multiple unit and service awards.
