Master Chief Damiean Williams is a native of Miami, FL and graduated from Bishop George Ahr High School in NJ. He enlisted in the United States Navy and graduated from boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL in 1998. Afterwards, he attended Operation Specialist ‘A’ School in Damneck, VA. He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 182, Khaki) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 145). He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Historical and Political Studies from Chaminade University in Hawaii.
Master Chief Williams has been stationed at numerous sea duties to include USS DUBUQUE (LPD-8) in Sasebo Japan, where he served as a junior Operations Specialist and deployed to the Persian Gulf. He served onboard USS JUNEAU (LPD-10) in Sasebo, Japan, where he achieved the Enlisted Surface Warfare Qualification and served as a CIC Watch Supervisor; USS REUBEN JAMES (FFG-57) in Pearl Harbor, HI in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He served onboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) in Yokosuka, Japan in support of Operation Tomodachi, serving as the Operation Department LCPO and OI Division LCPO. He served onboard USS WARRIOR (MCM-10) and USS PRINCETON (CG-59) as the Command Master Chief.
His shore duties include Afloat Training Group Western Pacific in Yokosuka, Japan, in which he served as a Combat Systems Training Team Leader and was promoted to Chief Petty Officer. He was stationed at Joint Region Marianas in Guam, serving as the J3 LCPO, promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer, and was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program. He served as the Command Master Chief of Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station in Naples, Italy. Most recently, he served as the Command Master Chief of Commander, Destroyer Squadron Two Six in Norfolk, VA.
Master Chief Williams is currently serving as the Command Master Chief of Commander, Naval Surface Group Middle Atlantic.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), and numerous unit and campaign awards.
