 Kurt M. Roth is a native of Cape Coral, Florida home.  On October 1992, he joined the Navy and attended Boot Camp in Orlando, Florida.  After graduation, he reported onboard PCU Kearsarge (LHD 3) in Deck Department as Seaman Recruit Roth.  While aboard, he would advance to BM2(SW) and completed two Mediterranean deployments. BM2(SW) Roth would then transfer to USS Arctic (AOE 8) in 1997 where he was the Deck Petty Officer in 1st Division, there he would advance to BM1(SW), lead RASE Division as LPO and complete one Mediterranean deployment.  In 1999, he transferred to Naval Station Norfolk Port Operations where he would serve as the Port Ops Career Counselor, Dock master, and Assistant Contracts Manager.  In 2002, he transferred to USS Mahan (DDG 72) and assumed the duties as OD Division LPO. While there, he would advance to BMCS and he assumed the duties as Ops LCPO, completing one Mediterranean deployment and one NATO deployment.

In 2005, then BMCS(SW) Roth would transfer to Inshore Boat unit 42 where he commissioned the unit as Detachment LCPO.  In 2006, he would transfer to Riverine Squadron Two and would commission that squadron as well.  BMCS(SW/EXW) Roth was then assigned to Detachment Two LCPO and was deployed twice to Iraq in support of 3/1 Marines in Fallujah, Ramadi and Thar Thar AOR, 2/4 and 3/4 Infantry Division in Basrah, Um Qasar and Bucca AOR.   In 2009, Roth would then transfer to Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Facility and fill the role of Services LCPO and Command CFL.  During his tour, he led the weight test shop, powder coating shop, transportation shop and rigging shop.  He also advanced to Master Chief Boatswain’s Mate and would then be reassigned as Assistance Production Officer.  In 2013, he transferred to USS Arlington (LPD 24) as Deck LCPO.  During his tour, he deployed to the Persian Gulf and assumed the duties as Command Master Chief after an unexpected loss.  

In 2017, CMDCM Roth attended Command Master Chief Course and reported to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 70 “Spartans” as the Command Master Chief.  He completed one Persian Gulf deployment while his squadron was attached to Carrier Strike Wing Eight on USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 78).  He and his wife Susan, a retired Senior Chief, have five Children, Courtney, Gerald, Tyler, Tiffani and Ariel and two grand Children Emilee and Delilah.  His personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal (three), Navy Achievement Medal (three), and various awards.
