A native of St Elizabeth, Jamaica and a 2015 graduate of University of Maryland University College with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Command Senior Chief Avagayle Williams enlisted in the United States Navy in July 2000 as an Aviation Storekeeper.
Her operational assignments include Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron One (VQ-1) where she served as material control supervisor; USS STERETT (DDG 104), where she served as stock control and HAZMAT LPO; and USS IWO JIMA (LHD 7), where she served as leading LS and stock control LCPO.
Her shore assignments include airfreight supervisor at Naval Station Rota Spain, Recruit Division Commander (RDC) at Recruit Training Command and Navy Recruiting District New York (NRD NY), where she served as the Supply Officer. Her isolated duty tour includes, passenger service supervisor at Naval Support Activity Souda Bay, Crete.
Command Senior Chief Williams graduated from the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 204 (Grey Group). Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (6 awards), Global War on Terrorism Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal and numerous other unit awards and commendations. She is a certified professional in Project Management and pursuing an MBA in Business Intelligence Data Analytics.
