Commander Katrina Stegner is a native of Arlington, Texas. She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Geology from the University of Kansas in 2007 and a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University in 2014.
A career Surface Warfare Officer, Commander Stegner’s shipboard assignments include: USS LABOON (DDG 58) as 1st Lieutenant Division Officer, Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and Navigation Officer, USS NITZE (DDG 94) as Operations Officer, and COMDESRON TWO SIX (CDS 26) as N3. Ashore, she served as the Operations Officer / Executive Officer at the Military Entrance Processing Station Omaha, NE, and the N32 Readiness Officer at COMNAVSURFLANT. Most recently, she completed her tour at Afloat Training Group Atlantic (ATG LANT) as the N3.
Her personal awards include: Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Joint Achievement Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and various other unit awards.
