CDR Reynolds is a native of Newport, Rhode Island and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in History. He holds a Master of Science in Financial Management and Information Systems from University of Maryland University College.
Reynolds’ sea tours include First Lieutenant and Damage Control Assistant aboard USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG 98), Chief Engineer aboard USS ELROD (FFG 55), Chief Engineer aboard USS MONTEREY (CG 61), and Commanding Officer of USS CAPE ST GEORGE (CG 71) from June 2018 to May 2020.
His shore assignments include a GSA in Balad, Iraq as a Counter Rocket Artillery Mortar (C-RAM) Battle Watch Captain for the Army’s 101st Airborne Division and as an instructor and course lead for Advanced Shiphandling and Tactics (ASAT) at Surface Warfare Officers School Command, N72. His last shore duty assignment was as Junior Officer Sea Coordinator at Navy Personnel Command, PERS-412B.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), Army Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (2 awards).
