Command Senior Chief Bobby Norton is a native of Florida. He attended Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lake, Illinois in 1995; Aviation Structural Mechanic (AMS) "A" School in Millington, Tennessee.
At sea, he has served in VF-31 as an F-14 Airframer , HM-14 as a Non-Destructive Technician, USS Nassau (LHA 4) as Production Control Supervisor, and VFA-102 as Maintenance Control Desk Chief. He has deployed on the USS Carl Vinson, USS Abraham Lincoln, USS George Washington, and USS Ronald Reagan.
His shore duty command includes the Center for Naval Leadership as Facilitator, Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic Oceana as 500 Division Chief Petty Officer, and VRC-30 as Maintenance Control Supervisor.
He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2018 and is a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course class 19010 and the Navy's Senior Enlisted Academy (Red Group, Class 201).
His current assignment is Command Senior Chief for LCS 15 Billings Gold.
He holds a Bachelor Arts Degree in Business Administration from Saint Leo University. His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5 awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), as well as other personal, unit and campaign awards.
