 Cmdr. Theresa L. Kaylor, a native of Glen Ridge, New Jersey, is a 2004 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where she earned her commission and a Bachelor of Science in History.

Kaylor’s sea duty assignments include: Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer aboard USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53); Navigator/Administration Officer aboard USS McCampbell (DDG 85), where she executed a homeport shift from San Diego to Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Yokosuka, Japan; Operations Officer aboard USS Stout (DDG 55); Combat Systems Officer and Staff Director in Destroyer Squadron 28; and most recently, Executive Officer aboard USS Normandy (CG 60).

Ashore, Kaylor’s assignments include: an Instructor and Senior Class Advisor for the University of Pennsylvania NROTC, Philadelphia Consortium, where she earned her Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Temple University; Seamanship and Navigation Instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers’ School, where she qualified as Master Training Specialist; Action Officer in Global Force Management (N041) at U.S. Fleet Forces Command; was Operations Officer (N3) for Afloat Training Group Norfolk.  

Her awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) as well as various other unit and service awards.
